Table of Contents
1. Getting Started
Cycle Flow is designed to be simple and intuitive. Here's how to get started:
Install the app on your device by visiting the website and selecting "Add to Home Screen" from your browser menu
Open the app from your home screen
No account creation is required - you can start using the app immediately
Tip: For the best experience, we recommend adding the app to your home screen. This allows it to work offline and provides a more app-like experience.
2. Home Screen
The home screen provides an overview of your cycle:
Current cycle phase (period, fertile window, or regular)
Days until your next period
Quick access to add a new period entry
Navigation to other features (Calendar, Settings, Data Management)
Tip: The home screen automatically updates based on your cycle data. The more data you enter, the more accurate the predictions will be.
3. Calendar View
The calendar provides a visual representation of your cycle:
Period days are highlighted in pink
Fertile days are highlighted in green
Ovulation day is marked with a special indicator
Tap on any day to see more details or add/edit period information
Tip: You can swipe left and right to navigate between months in the calendar view.
4. Adding a Period
To record a new period:
Click the "Add Period" button on the home screen
Select the start date of your period
Select the end date of your period
Add any notes if needed
Click "Save" to record your period
Tip: Regular tracking of your periods improves the accuracy of predictions. Try to record each period as soon as possible.
5. Settings

Privacy & Security
Enable/disable password protection for the app
Tip: If your cycles are very regular, setting accurate default values can improve predictions when you first start using the app.
6. Data Management
Manage your cycle data:
Export your data as a JSON file for backup
Import previously exported data
Optionally encrypt your data with a password
Tip: We recommend regularly exporting your data as a backup, especially before changing devices or clearing browser data.
7. Dark Mode
Cycle Flow offers a dark mode option for comfortable use in low-light environments:
Go to Settings
Toggle the Dark Mode switch
The app immediately switches to a darker color scheme that's easier on the eyes
Tip: Dark mode can help reduce eye strain when using the app at night and can also save battery on devices with OLED screens.
